You join a crew of BitBeards working together to scan the massive puzzle search space.
The full search range is divided into chunks – manageable work units that are processed fairly and systematically.

⚙️ How does the pool puzzle search work?
🧩 Chunks – the work units
Each chunk contains 1,000,000 keys
A chunk is randomly generated from the remaining search space
This gives everyone the same chance to land the actual hit
Once a chunk is fully scanned:
it is marked as completed
and permanently removed from the search space
⚓ The search space shrinks step by step – clean and efficient.
🎲 Hit chance vs. pool share – what’s really fair?
Hit chance:
Because chunks are randomly selected, there are:
no preferred zones
no advantage from joining earlier
no better starting positions

Pool share:
The 30 % pool share is based on contribution:
The more chunks you successfully complete, the larger your share
Effort, uptime, and consistency are rewarded

⏱️ Chunk assignment & duration
Each chunk is assigned to a worker for 24 hours
During this time, the chunk belongs exclusively to that BitBeard
If your BitBeard:
is powered off
or restarted
then:
the search continues from the last saved position
as long as the 24-hour limit has not expired
If the 24 hours are exceeded:
the chunk is released
and a new chunk is automatically requested

🌍 External hit – no work wasted
If a puzzle is solved outside of the pool by an external finder, the system reacts immediately:
🛑 The current pool search stops automatically
🧠 The system detects that the puzzle is already solved
🧩 All active chunks are not discarded, but split in half
🔁 These reduced chunks are reused for the next puzzle

no completed work is lost
no unnecessary searching continues
the next puzzle starts efficiently and prepared

💰 Hits & AutoPay in the pool
When a puzzle is solved within the pool:
🛑 The pool search stops immediately
💰 The reward is processed automatically via AutoPay
Reward split:
70 % to the finder
30 % shared among pool workers
